Dodgeball Frequently Asked Questions
Who can participate?
All Methacton students, Methacton employees, Methacton parents, and Methacton alumni.
Can anyone outside the district participate?
At least 70% of each team must be from Methacton (student, employee, parent or alumni).
When can I register?
Registration opens to Methacton students from January 2, 2024 - February 2, 2024. Adult registration opens on Febuary 3, 2024 with open slots.
How do I register to participate?
Start to form your team and pick a captain. Pick a fun team name! Teams may be 6-10 players (no exceptions) and can be co-ed. Note: Only 6 players on each team are allowed on the court during the game. Plan your team size accordingly, so everyone has time to play.
The team captain must register first and pay for their player on the team. For teams of minors, the parent/guardian of the captain will be the official contact. The cost is $25 per person, plus the processing fee. Each player will register individually and pay $25.
Team Captain Registration,
- Click REGISTRATION then click SIGN-UP (button is located at the top right corner)
- Create an account if needed. If an adult registering a child create the account in the adult's name
- Choose you registration(dodgeball)
- Register the name of the participant (if entering a child, enter their name here)
- Review and sign the waiver
- Click on create a new team
- Create a team name and enter a password if interested in using a password
- Answer the questions on the next tab for more details
- Go to the fundraiser page (a team fundraiser will be created for your team)
- Complete payment
- Share the registration site with your team and tell them the name
- Share your fundraising page with friends!
Player Registration (all players on the team must register individually)
- Click REGISTRATION then click SIGN-UP (button is located at the top right corner)
- Click the sign-up button
- Create an account if needed. If an adult registering a child create the account in the adult's name
- Choose your registration (dodgeball)
- Register the name of the participant (if entering a child, enter their name here)
- Review and sign the waiver
- Find your team name listed in the "Join An Existing Team" dropdown menu (ask your captain)
- Answer the questions on the next tab for more details
- Join your team fundraiser or create your own fundraising page
- Complete your payment & registration
Can I be on more than one team?
No! Unfortunately due to the timing of the games, there could be a conflict of game times or your teams could have to play against each other. In order to avoid any of these conflicts, you can only be on one team!

Can teams be mixed grades/ages?
If a team has mixed grade levels, the youngest players on a team have to play up to the oldest player’s division. It is recommended to form teams with kids in the same grade or +/- one grade level only. High School teams can be any mix of 9-12 grade students.

What will Team Captains need to register a team?
The Team Name is needed to register a Dodgeball Team. The Team Captaiin may also suggest a song for the DJ to play when your team enters the court.
Team Captain pays registers the team name and player 1. On the first page, under "Choose you registration" select Dodgeball Tournament then press continue (team pricing will appear at the end).Once payment is made, other players on the team must register and pay $25 individually USING THE SAME SIGN UP LINK and selects "JOIN AN EXISTING TEAM".

Teams will be registered on a first-come, first serve basis. A dodgeball committee member will email you with the status of the waivers submitted for your team.
How much does it cost to register a team?
Registration costs are $25 per player.
How do I pay?
Payment is made on-line via a credit card upon registering each player.
When and where is the event?
The Dodgeball tournament will be held in the gyms at Methacton High School. Doors open at 12 PM for check-in. Games will run from 1-5 PM.
I don’t want to play, but I want to come and watch my friends and my teachers. Can I?
Of course! We would love as many cheerleaders and spectators as possible. Entrance cost (if not on a team or serving as team captain) is $5 per person.
What are the prizes?
Teams are encouraged to come in costume/uniform! Prizes will be given out for: Best Dressed Team; Best Team Name; and for the First Place Teams in each division. Costumes/uniforms must abide with Methacton School rules/dress code (no drugs, alcohol, or weapons). Any teams inappropriately dressed may be asked to leave.
- No full (costume) masks that cover your face
- No pretend prop weapons of any kind
- No racial, religious, or ethnically based costume
- No alcohol or drug references or images
When are winners announced?
- Best dressed team (announced after the tournment)
- Best team name (announced at the tournament)
- Top fundraising team (announced at the tournament)
How are the teams divided up by?
Teams will be divided up by grade-level based on registration numbers, but elementary students will be separated from older students and the adult divisions for safety purposes! If a team has mixed grade levels, the youngest players on a team have to play up to the oldest player’s division.
How many games are we guaranteed?
The minimum number of games played would be 2 as it is a double elimination tournament.
Will there be food?
A concession stand will be open for anyone to purchase drinks, candy, chips, soft pretzels, and pizza.
What will I need to bring?
Yourself, dressed up for your team’s theme, and a lot of energy! Balls will be provided.
What are the proceeds for this event being used for?
All proceeds will go to the Methacton Education Foundation to fund grants supporting STEM, programs that benefit economically disadvantaged students, career readiness, and student wellness in the Methacton School District.

Who gets a t-shirt?
Each team member will receive a free Dodgeball t-shirt. Participants or parents/guardians if the participant is under the age of 18 will indicate the t-shirt size in one of the questions on the Permission Waiver form. Team Captains do not receive t-shirts.
